2018 marks the 125th anniversary of Lancaster General Hospital.

What began quietly in 1893 in a 3-story brick residence in the 300 block of North Queen Street for serving Lancaster’s medical needs has become a comprehensive healthcare delivery system and an integral catalyst for advancing the health and well-being of the multiple communities we serve.

Join us as we celebrate the collective community who contributed to our rich history, and our continued commitment to help our community be well and stay well.

Embrace125 event proceeds:

LG Health is committed to partnering with the community to bring awareness and resources to address our region’s growing behavioral health needs. That’s why proceeds raised from Lancaster General Hospital’s signature 125th anniversary event, Embrace125, will help establish the newly created Behavioral Health Community Impact Fund. This Fund will provide vital resources to help advance strategies to improve behavioral health and mental well-being in our community including:

Increasing awareness about mental health and the importance of emotional well-being
Education in schools about mental well-being, substance abuse prevention, stress/anxiety reduction and thoughts of suicide
Financial support to qualified patients to help reduce barriers for outpatient follow-up care

We are also proud to work with a network of provider partners on a number of other strategies to address this community health improvement priority.
